Fire District
The Whitewater River Consolidated Fire District Office is located at 206 S Main, Whitewater, Kansas. Equipment and Trucks are housed at the Fire Station on the westside of the City Building. The Whitewater RCF's mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for all citizens and those in the surrounding areas from the adverse effects of natural and man-made emergencies.
Through partnering with Butler County EMS or other local departments we provide assistance as quickly and effiecently as possible.
2024 was a record-breaking year for District with 185 total calls for the year. We provided mutual aid or automatic aid to 7 of our neighboring departments for a total of 49 calls and received mutual aid or automatic aid for a total of 54 calls. Some of these calls had multiple agencies responding at the same time to specific calls such as large grass fires or structure fires.
If you (male or female) are interested in volunteering a few hours a month, feel free to stop by the District Office, come to a fire drill or call (316) 799-2121 to see what it's all about. Our fire drills are the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7pm, either at the District Office or the Whitewater Fire Station.
If you witness an emergency situation please call 911.
