- Maintains the day-to-day financials, including deposits
- Maintains personnel records, monitors and processes payroll
- Produces the Whitewater Community Newsletter and the city website
- Keeper of the codes, policies, publications, correspondence, files, applications and more
- Attends meetings and keeps the official minutes, prepares agendas, etc.
- Ensures compliance with the Kansas Open Record and Meeting Acts
- Court Clerk, Sells Cemetery plots, and so much more
City Clerk
The Clerk serves as the link between Council and citizens as well as between the city employees.
The City Office is where the clerk provides clerical, record keeping and administrative functions to the Mayor, Council and citizens. In addition, this individual performs many tasks that assist in guiding and managing the operation of local government policy and law. Below are just a few of the responsibilities of the City Clerk.
