Parks & Recreation

The Recreation Commission or Parks & Rec Board consists of six members. Members are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. Positions 1-4 are reserved for Whitewater residents only. Positions 5 & 6 can be filled from either inside or outside the city limits.

Position 1 serves for a four year period

Position 2 serves for a three year period

Position 3 serves for a two year period

Position 4 serves for a one year period

Position 5 serves for a four year period

Position 6 serves for a two year period

All six members are voting members.

Ex Officio Members: do not need to be a resident of Whitewater and serve for two years; appointed by the six voting members; and are non voting, non office holding members.
